We have been with the surgery for 25 years, having moved here in 1992. I have always received excellent service from them. The Dr's are exceptional. My husband, now adult youngsters and I health care has always been taken seriously with compassion and respect. My Husband, our 2nd son and I see the Dr's on a regular basis because of ongoing health issues. We see specific Dr's for regular treatment, who we have built up a relationship with over the years. We also have an arrangement for direct contact to our Dr through reception if necessary. You can get urgent appointments on the day if it is an emergency, call backs by the duty Dr etc. Cornlands Road has an pharmacy attached which makes life much easier. You can also make telephone appointments as well as normal appointments. Overall there services have grown over the years with the introduction of technology for such as online appointments, text appointment reminders, prescription order and so on. I would have given a 5/5 and it is 5/5 for the Dr's service however sometimes I struggle with telephone/reception difficulties as there has been alot of changes on that side in recent years. That it is though probably down to me as the surgery has grown in size and the first point of call is not always easy as I don't know the front of the staff like I used too Make your appointments in advance. If there is none available and you want to see a specific Dr ask when they are next available and get used to ringing in advance, else it is harder to see the Dr you want too. I will add there is usually a bit of a wait to see certain Dr's, when you go for your appointment, however that is down to the popularity of some of the Dr's and that they don't rush you in and out
Drs receptionsits as unhelpful as ever bit the doctors care and are helpful

I have been the solitary male in Susan's Tuesday morning class for over a year starting as a novice and now at an intermediate level. The class exercises vary each week and progresses in a calm and friendly way that caters for all levels. I leave the class feeling more relaxed and flexible, 1 class member described it as being better than Prosecco but wouldn't be drawn on chocolate. I will be returning to the rescheduled Thursday morning class in the heart of Upper Poppleton when it restarts after the summer break in September.
Love these Pregnancy yoga classes. My body feels stronger and softer, it's been great for my back ache, and I always leave feeling so relaxed and sleep so well. Lovely. The breathing techniques are really great to know about. Thank you Susan.

Energies is one of the best York pools. I go to lessons there and they have helped me be a confident swimmer. I would certainly recommend energies to anyone to learn to swim or to just play on the floats and boats.
I've only been to the climbing wall here and it's pretty good for it just being in a leisure centre. There are about 20 lines to choose from- not a massive amount so you couldn't really go every week, but enough to go off every fortnight or so. There's one auto-belay and a bit of bouldering, although I didn't like the bouldering here much. It's about £6.50-£7.50 a go. And Thursday's 6-8pm they do a buddy session so if you need a climb partner for the evening you can find one there

I had a severe mountain bike injury about 4 years ago which resulted in a lot of nerve and muscle damage to my lower back and legs. Having been recommended by a friend to try Julie Malone and one of her deep tissue sports massages a try, I was sceptical but willing to try anything to alleviate the aches and pains I was continuing to have after such a bad accident. After only a few 30 minute sessions I was already starting to feel the benefits of repairing the damaged muscles which began to alleviate the ongoing aches and pains I was suffering from. It was amazing what a difference a sports massage made over a normal relaxation massage. Whenever I have any niggles I continue to visit Julie on a regular basis and highly recommend her to a lot of people who suffer from sporting related problems.

I really can't thank Susan enough for the hypnobirthing course we did with her. We learnt SO much, way more than I expected. I finished the course having really considered so many different aspects of my pregnancy and myself. my expectations of labour and birth really did change with all the information and time to think and make our own informed decisions. I was so positive in the run up to the birth - what a huge difference it made! I loved the visualisations and breathing practices, so simple and easy to rememberand also found the yoga breathing we did and the yoga postures for aligning baby really helpful too. I genuinely can't thank you enough susan for the course and all your support in the run up too. Huge thanks from all 3 of us. :-)

Rani is the most amazing therapist for massages ever! Lovely lady who really cares about you x
Ayurveda is a science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge). It offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realizing their full human potential. I can promise anyone considering this to absolutely embrace the full experience! I felt enlightened by my experience. The lady is so knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. It was a beautiful time for meditation whilst receiving a relaxing massage and followed by a herbal steam bath. There are other therapies that I am excited to try and will continue to return and try something new every time. I will embrace the opportunity every time and she loves what she does so much, she will love the opportunity to show you all the ways of Ayurveda! I definitely feel vibrant and healthier after my treatment! It is definitely more of a way of life and an experience, than (compared to) an English massage, where it is an alotted time and one in one out. You can take your time, slow down, take a deep breath and relax! Along the way she was attentive to my needs, I.e. Pressure or problem areas, and was happy to just have quiet times during treatment for those moments of relaxation and meditation!
